it's a sad but incredibly lovely review, David. i hadn't planned on watching it again at BAM and your review got me thinking about it in a different way. i'm so glad you wrote about it, because watching it with many years of remove, and many years of age added onto my own perspective, i appreciated it in a way that i hadn't before. it felt wiser to me than it ever did, and i think it's going to age incredibly well. a great review for a great movie!
