July 6

A month or two ago, I was putting together outlines and budgets and other things for the feature I plan to shoot this fall, and included among those other statistic was a start day of October 6th. Three months away. I don't know if I'll make that -- all sorts of things might happen to get in the way, the least impressive of which would be a mere lack of money -- but it is, at the very least, something to labor towards. And to look forward to.

So now it's on the record.

shit, man, you need a PA? my annual summer reality check has just arrived and my plans for my own October feature project have just about been strangled into nothingness. it always happens this way. and it really is a matter of money. but i say we suck it up and stick to our schedules anyway and see what happens. let's make movies!

You're hired!

I hate summer reality checks. I had one about a week ago. Luckily, it's passed and I'm living in full fledged fantasy mode again, and loving it. I can't wait to get back to Texas next month to scout locations.
