You know, I don't think I've mentioned our esteemed leader and his policies since early November. I think I'll keep that trend going, especially since anything I might have to say at this particular moment has just been posted by Filmbrain, with more lucidity and wit than I might have managed.
In other news: Soderbergh just did something crazy! And possibly really cool. This won't be the last I have to say about this...

that's kind of exciting and interesting news.. curious what it will lead to, especially if other people will jump on the bandwagon..

It's great to see him embracing new means of distribution/exhibition, although I'm not sure if I have feelings one way or another for the triple-platform release. I'd always rather see a film in theaters first - I suppose being able to buy the DVD in the lobby afterwards might be nice, but it does sort of remove the whole anticipation thing that I've always enjoyed about the time between theatrical and DVD/video releases, as silly as that might sound. Sort of like looking forward to Christmas, you know?
Rgardless, I hope this doesn't mean Soderbergh's given up his Che film with Benicio Del Toro.
